On December 14, 2023, UNI- Ente Italiano di Normazione, has organized in the context of the STAR4BBS project, the online workshop “Standards and R&I Projects for Bio-Based Industries“.
The workshop offered an opportunity to explore the world of standardization and understand its key role within Horizon research projects. During the event, the differences between standardization and certification were also illustrated, and speakers taught how to transform R&I results into rapid standards.
Three topics were touched during the 2 hours workshop:
- Standardization actors and its key players;
- Strategies to convert R&I results into practical standards;
- Exploitation of standardization results in the STAR4BBS, Biorecer and BIORADAR Projects.
STAR4BBS Project Coordinator Luana Ladu has participated in the event and shared her insights regarding standardization need.
The workshop was a great success and an important opportunity to interact with stakeholders, collect feedback, and share results of our project activities.
